Autumnal sunny October – a season of changing colours bringing fresh inspiration. The warm weather has been a delight to sketch in, especially after my sketching holiday on Patmos – a small Greek island where Saint John wrote ‘Revelation’, the last book in the bible.
Since coming back I’ve been walking and sketching in the dunes at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, capturing the light and exploring different mark making ideas using Inktense blocks and pencil. Meanwhile back in the studio I’ve been working on finishing two new pieces for the Corte-Real Gallery in Portugal – more about this and other galleries on my News post. Enjoy the rest of this glorious sunshine!

Announcing two solo shows this summer. Both exhibitions will feature large scale artworks situated in spiritual settings. The first show opens at Creake Abbey Cafe, NR21 9LF, where the ruins of Creake Abbey (founded in 1206) are just a short walk away and well worth visiting. ‘Norfolk Horizons’ 13 June – 16 October. Opening daily from 9.00am.
Tracey Ross exhibition – Norfolk Horizons from Tuesday 11th June to Tuesday 16th October
14th – 29th July, Salthouse Church
My second exhibition ‘L I G H T’ is at Saint Nicholas Church in Salthouse, NR25 7XH. This magnificent church is the perfect setting for an art show and will feature my sketchbooks alongside an eclectic mix spiritual and coastal artworks exploring the theme of light, faith and art. 14th – 29th July. Open every day 10.30am – 5.00pm. Free entry. All welcome. Disabled parking near the church.
Delighted to be showing at Tess Ainley’s new Gallery in Holt. Tess is an artist and gallery owner showcasing potters, painters, ceramics and textiles. ‘Flood of Light’ fits in to the gallery perfectly alongside this textured pot by Tamlin Lundberg.
